Project:Swadlincote, Nottinghamshire

 

Client:Co-op via CS2 Surveyors

 

Objective:External and structural refurbishment of heritage building in Nottinghamshire - work included overhaul of roof, replacement of rainwater goods, stonemasonry, Crittall window restoration, new recessed shop entrance and authentic tiling

 

The Challenge:• Town centre / corner location
• Conservation area
• Close liaison with conservation officer
• Asbestos removal

 

The Solution:• AMJ worked in liaison with Conservation Officer and Heritage Lottery to create an effective project plan that met all criteria
• Sourced specialist suppliers for tiles to stall risers and store entrance and expert asbestos management and control


 

Project 2

 

 

Project:Queens Hall, Wellingborough

 

Client:Wellingborough Borough Council & Lottery Heritage Fund

 

Objective:Total external refurbishment with internal structural changes and decorations - including new rainwater goods, stone and brick repairs

 

The Challenge:• Working hall used by various community groups i.e.: Foodbank
• Tight budget - limited lottery funding
• High street location

 

The Solution:• Outstanding project planning and communication to implement the work with minimal disruption to groups using the hall
• Cost effective sourcing of materials and specialists to stay within budget without impingement to quality
• AMJ have a full H&S Plan for all projects plus are members of the "Considerate Contractors Scheme" so make minimizing the impact on the local community a priority.
